www.arlingtontx.gov/animals this will take you to the Arlington Animal Shelter site, here you can browse the animals in the shelter, some ready to be adopted, others are being held for their owners or for 72 hrs as strays. This is a great way to find your new best friend. They also have information for low cost spay and neuter programs in Arlington, including ours. And a list of the events for families and pets also.
The Arlington Dog Park is located behind the Arlington Shelter at 1000 S.E. Green Oaks Blvd.. Be sure your pet is current on all vaccinations before going to any Park and if you have a puppy, we would not recommend taking them to a park and exposing them to disease before they are able to build up their immunity.
If you would like to help animals, consider donating, volunteering, fostering and adopting with a local shelter or a rescue group. There are many volunteer positions available in all shelters, from cleaning cages, to answering the phone to paperwork, call and inquire about volunteer program. It's always nice to help the animals in the city you live in.
www.petfinder.com is a great source for adopting, or posting a lost animal, and for general information.
